At times, Destiny has been a franchise that has gone through long content droughts, which never sat well with the community. At times, Destiny has been a franchise that has gone through long content droughts, which never sat well with the community. Destiny 2 has been much better in preventing these stretches, and this past week likely overwhelmed many players with things to do. Not only did the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost kick off as well as the usual weekly and daily bounties, but the Iron Banner also returned for the second time this season. This time around, Bungie made a number of improvements to the modeincluding less harsh bounty requirements, more powerful gear rewards, and increased Valor gains across Iron Banner, Weekly, and Quickplay modes.
While Lord Saladin has packed up and left the Tower, the Festival of the Lost enters its second week for players to acquire new masks and the high powered Horror Story auto rifle. Players can still dive into the Haunted Forest zone for their chance at Fragmented Souls, but starting next week, the murder mystery quest with Master Ives begins. While not much is known, players are expecting to see some familiar things during this quest including the return of a particular exotic machine gun as well as a location players have not seen in quite a while.
Until then, the weekly reset has returned to Destiny 2, which refreshes all available challenges and content. FOr a look at all of the new missions, Nightfalls, Crucible modes, and challenges, have a look at our weekly guide below.
Nightfall Strike Options: The Arms Dealer, Insight Terminus, The Hollowed Lair
The three Nightfall choices this week include the return of Braccus Zahn in The Arms Dealer as well as The Insight Terminus, a former Vex Installation that is being utilized by the Cabal. Interestingly enough, The Hollowed Lair is again available this week, giving players another seven days to farm the Mindbender’s Ambition shotgun.
Each option starts at a recommended power level of 540, so players may want to grind for new gear a bit before taking on these missions. Keep in mind that players can only select a Nightfall from expansions they already own, so The Arms Dealer will be the only option for non-Forsaken and Warmind owners.
Nightfall Exclusive Rewards:
Flashpoint Location: European Dead Zone
The Flashpoint challenge for this week heads back to Earth within the European Dead Zone. Players can gain progress on this challenge by taking part in Public Events, finishing Heroic adventures, and clearing out Lost Sectors. Consult our heroic modifier guide for public events to help finish this a bit faster.
Visit Devrim Kay within the church bell tower within Trostland once the milestone reaches 100% to receive his powerful reward for the week.
With the reset here, the weekly bounties from many of the Vendors in game have also been restocked. Let’s have a quick look:
Complete Crucible Matches – Finish 5 total Crucible matches. Any of the playlists count towards this milestone except a private match. Daily objectives also pop up from time to time, typically requiring that players only complete one Crucible match.
