The latest update for Fortnite‘s battle royale is live as of Tuesday morning, bringing with it a new item, a new LTM, and plenty of changes. Patch v7.30 has added a brand new item for players to experiment with called Bottle Rockets, perfect for tearing down a building in a short amount of time. Also added with today’s patch is a new LTM named Wild West Duos, which marks a major change in LTM scheduling.

Bottle Rockets will be an Uncommon item that shoots a large number of rockets in a targeted direction. Players set the Bottle Rockets down in front of them and then they are able to continue moving while the rockets fire in a continuous arc. A short trailer for the item provides an example of the Bottle Rockets capability for destruction, as three players can set the item down surrounding a building and see it torn to shreds in a matter of seconds.

The new Limited Time Mode, Wild West Duos, will join the other currently available LTMs: Trios and Team Rumble. Wild West Duos is a standard royale with a limited weapon selection, including Hunting Rifles, Shotguns, Dynamite, and unvaulted weapons like the Revolver and Double Barrel Shotgun. Slurp Juice also has an increased chance to appear in Supply Drops, which may not be very Wild West but works anyway.

Epic also dropped a special note alongside the Wild West Duos reveal. From here on, Epic is going to rotate LTM playlists every couple of days instead of keeping them for extended periods of time. Epic wants to keep things fresh and diverse day-to-day and this new LTM schedule should manage that.

One other big Fortnite change beyond the above new item and LTM include the addition of Environmental Campfires, which are spread throughout the map in specific positions. Players can light them just by interacting with them and they work just like Cozy Campfires. The thing is, they only work once per match.

Smaller changes include nerfing the drop rates of rocket ammo from ammo boxes and Dynamite from chests. The launchpad’s overall strength is now over a quarter more powerful than before too. Meanwhile, Fortnite‘s BoomBox has officially been vaulted, and the Sneaky Snowman will no longer drop from chests.

Fortnite is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
