To celebrate the release of Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame film, Fortnite has kicked off a new Avengers crossover event. This event includes a new limited-time mode where a team of Avengers take on a team of Thanos and his alien goons, but it also includes exclusive cosmetics that players can get their hands on as well.

It seems as though Fortnite will be adding Avengers skins to the game in the coming days, with the first skin based on Black Widow. The Black Widow skin in Fortnite has two different hair color variations and comes with a Black Widow-themed backpack for 1,500 V-Bucks. If players want to complete the Black Widow skin set in Fortnite, they will also want to pick up the Black Widow harvesting tool called Widow’s Bite, which is available for 800 V-Bucks, which is joined by a new emote called Widow’s Pirouette that’s available for 200 V-Bucks. So to complete the Black Widow ensemble in Fortnite, players are looking at spending 2,500 V-Bucks.

Besides the Black Widow skin, there are other Avengers cosmetics in Fortnite as well. One that players can get without spending any V-Bucks is a Quinjet Glider that’s earned by competing event challenges.

While it’s possible the Black Widow skin is the only Fortnite Avengers skin added to the game, it does seem as though Epic is planning to add more in the coming days since Black Widow is said to be part of the “Avengers set.” It’s possible that there will be skins for all of the original Avengers, or if the team gets really ambitious, perhaps for every Avenger in the films period.

Then again, perhaps Fortnite developers will slow down a bit. A report recently accused Epic Games of promoting crunch culture and having Fortnite developers work 100 hour workweeks. Since Fortnite is a continuously updated live-service, it seems like it may be stuck in a state of permanent “crunch.”

Whatever the case may be, any Fortnite fans who want to unlock the Avengers: Endgame content in the game will want to be sure to participate in the Fortnite Avengers: Endgame crossover event while it’s still live.

Fortnite is out now in early access for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
